Tillett, Koch earn girls soccer All-State honors

The duo of Hannah Tillett and Karmen Koch recently added to their list accolades following a historic Huntington North girls’ soccer season.

Tillett was named as one of 18 members of the Indiana Soccer Coaches Associate First Team All-State while Koch earned Third Team All-State honors.

Tillett finished third in the state in goals with 45 while leading the state in assists with 40. Joining Tillett on the All-State team was Penn’s McKenzie Wood, Kristina Lynch, Macy Lacognato and Brooke VanDyck, Avon’s Rachel Vernon, Carmel’s Kelsie James and Katie Soderstrom, Guerin Catholic’s Megan Wampler, Munster’s Jaycee Helmer, Fishers’ Gretchen Mills, Hamilton Southeastern’s Claire Wilkinson and Saanika Kamat, Noblesville’s Amanda Carmosino and Jensen Summers, Brebeuf Jesuit’s Hallie Pearson, Evansville Memorial’s Grace Lensing and Harrison’s Olivia Geswein.

Tillett scored in all but two of the Vikings’ games this season while tallying an assist in all but three games. Tillett’s 130 points on the year led the state.

Koch, meanwhile, finished with 31 goals and 16 assists this season to earn her All-State honors. The senior forward finished with six hat tricks on the season while recording an assist in 10 of the Vikings’ game this season.

On the season, the Vikings finished 16-2 while winning a share of the Northeast 8 Conference title. Huntington North earned a dramatic shootout win over Homestead in the sectional semi-final before falling in extra time to Warsaw in the sectional final.
