Carlene was preceded in death by her parents: Carl and Erma (Hart) Martin; sister: Barbara (Nadine) Aufdenkampe; and brother: Ned Martin.

Carlene was a graduate of Huntington High School and began a career at First National Bank in Huntington that lasted 10 years. Soon after graduating, Carlene married her high school sweetheart, Wayne A. Beemler on Aug. 28, 1954 in Markle, Indiana. Wayne preceded her in death on June 11, 2019.

After 11 years of marriage, God answered their prayers to start a family. Over the years that followed, Carlene and Wayne were abundantly blessed with three children. Carlene is survived by a son: Greg (Andrea) Beemler of Newark, Delaware; two daughters: Kelly Redington of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; Amy Beemler of Newark, Delaware; and seven grandchildren.

As her children grew, Carlene started working outside the home again. Carlene was able to stay close to her children while working in the school cafeterias in Howell, New Jersey and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1994, Carlene and Wayne retired in Bear, Delaware to be closer to family. Carlene enjoyed reading, enjoyed her family, and was famous for her delicious carrot cake and energy cookies. Above all else, Carlene is leaving a legacy of her unwavering, strong faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. Carlene was a member of Markle Church of Christ and was a prayer warrior for her family.
