The Northeast 8 Conference (NE8) announced their annual girls tennis All-Conference selections and four members of the Huntington North girls tennis team made the cut.

Senior Jessica Henline headlined the Viking honorees by landing on the NE8’s First Team All-Conference list. As one of the top singles players in the area, Henline also received a spot on the All-District team.

“Jessica had a really good season which her record shows,” said head coach Blake Childs. “She was 16–4 overall and 6–1 in conference with her only lost coming to Norwell's Breann Barger, who was one of the top players in the area. Jessica is a very strong player and she has been a great player to have on the team.”

Henline, who held down the first singles spot for the Vikings, is set to continue her tennis career next year at the University of St. Francis in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Senior Macy Wohlford and junior Maisy Kesler joined Henline on the NE8 First Team All-Conference list in the first doubles position.

“Macy and Maisy finished 6–1 in conference which helped them earn First Team All-Conference,” Childs said. “They had a very strong and consistent season.”

In total, Wohlford and Kesler accumulated an 11–8 record this season.

Senior Emily Bokel rounded out the Huntington North contingent on the All-Conference list, grabbing a spot on the Honorable Mention chart.

“Emily Bokel finished 4–3 in the conference with a huge win over Leo to help seal the victory against them,” Childs said. “She had a great year and really stepped into the (second) singles role well.”

Bokel finished her season sporting a 9–11 overall record at second singles.
