Gale A. Ruschhaupt Aug. 9, 1935 - Nov. 6, 2018

Gale A. Ruschhaupt, 83, of Huntington passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne. Gale was a 1953 graduate of Huntington Township High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked for Schaffer Electric and was the owner of R&R Electric. He was a member of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church and was a past member of Huntington Horseshoe Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Gale was born on Aug. 9, 1935, in Shelbyville, the son of Everett H. and Avaril B. (Clary) Ruschhaupt.

He was united in marriage to Peggy Sell on Jan. 24, 1960; she preceded him in death on April 16, 1990. He later married Marcia Warner on April 30, 1993; his wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Robert (Susan) Ruschhaupt of Huntington; a daughter, Debby (Tim) Kaufman of Petoskey, Michigan; two stepsons, Marc Jackson of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Steven (Lori) Jackson of Cottonwood, Arizona; a stepdaughter, Carla (Gerry) Dufort of Sedona, Arizona; 11 grandchildren, Andy Roberts, Austin Roberts, Megan Ruschhaupt, Skyler Ruschhaupt, Nate (J’aime) Kaufman, Matt Kaufman, Sam (Ashley) Kaufman, Nichole (Wyatt) Hicks, Paydon Jackson, Troy Jackson and Jessica Goodwin; seven great-grandchildren, Jude Hicks, Avenley Hicks, Porter Kaufman, Parker Kaufman, Lennon Kaufman, Andi Long and Cort Wallace.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County.

Memorial donations can be made out to Faith Chapel United Methodist Church or to Visiting Nurse and Hospice both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Indiana, 46750.
