Lawyer begins confirmation hearing

Herald-Press Staff Report

A Fort Wayne attorney began her confirmation hearing in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, June 6, after she was nominated to serve as District Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Holly A. Brady currently works as a partner at Haller & Colvin, PC, where she focuses her practice on civil, employment and labor litigation. Brady was recognized in the Bestw Lawyers in America for labor and employment law, and she serves on the Northern District of Indiana Federal Community Defenders Board of Directors and as Vice President of the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center, according to a press release by Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.).

J.P. Hanlon of Indianapolis also began his confirmation Tuesday, and Young said Brady has a strong reputation in the legal community and the right temperament to serve on Indiana’s district courts.

Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) also spoke to their reputation.

“In speaking with Holly and J.P., it was clear that they are both skilled attorneys who share a passion for public service and have deep ties to our state and to their communities,” Donnelly stated in the release.
