WABASH - Huntington North’s girls’ tennis picked up its second win in as many days on Wednesday. In much warmer conditions than Tuesday’s showdown against Peru, the Vikings traveled to Southwood where they came away winners by a 5-0.

In doubles action, the team of Macy Wohlford and Julie Nogaj won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles while the duo of Braxtyn Maroney and Leann Ringenberg won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

The varsity team moves to 2-0 on the season with the win. The Vikings were back in action on Thursday night against sectional foe Adams Central, but results were unavailable as of deadline on Thursday.

In JV action on Wednesday, the Vikings picked a 9-2 win to move to 2-0 as well on the season.

In singles play, Katie Paolillo, Maisy Kesler and Emma Bickel all earned victories.
