Tammy Kline is seeking re-election to the Huntington Township Board.

She joined the board in January 2017 and is currently serving as president.

She has been a resident of Huntington County her entire life, graduating from Huntington North High School and Huntington College with a degree in organizational management.

She also completed the Huntington County Leadership Academy and is currently a board member.

Kline has worked for Bendix for more than 31 years including in the materials department as a planner for the past several years, both with original equipment and aftermarket.

As a township board member, she said financial responsibility is her main duty. Other duties include reviewing and advising on matters of the township with the trustee.

She said she has enjoyed being on the board and being committed to the involvement of the community and its well being.

“Being fiscally responsible is high priority. This includes asking questions, gathering data, being a good listener, providing feedback and making critical decisions,” Kline said.

When asked why she felt the board is important, she said it has a financial responsibility to the township and appropriating monies where needed.

“I enjoy knowing what is happening in the community and serving the community,” Kline said.

She said serving on the board builds a connection between the community and her. Kline added that she has enjoyed working with the other board members and trustee.

Kline said if re-elected, she looks forward to continuing to represent the township board and community.

She is married to Ron Kline. They have three sons and three grandsons.
